What a custom home build actually involves

A custom home is built specifically for you and your block — not adapted from a volume builder's catalogue. That means every decision, from site assessment through to final handover, is made with your specific project in mind.

Site assessment and feasibility

Your block's slope, orientation, soil type, flood or bushfire overlay, and access, all shape what can be built and at what cost. We assess this upfront, before you commit to anything.

Design and approvals

We work with your architect or building designer through the DA or CDC process. The Northern Rivers has specific planning requirements — BAL ratings, flood overlays, and council LEP provisions — that affect what gets approved and when.

Construction management

As principal contractor, we coordinate all trades, materials, and inspections from slab to handover. You have one point of contact throughout the project.

Transparent communication

We use a project management app to give you real-time visibility into your project's progress, schedule, and costs. No chasing updates.

Darren Oke managed the building of our garage which was a complex development project. The project involved a six metre diameter car turntable and required building into the side of the hill and up from the roadway throughout subtropical weather conditions. The building works required council liaison to rework approved plans and structural building and management of our Inclinator lift provided by PR King. Darren Oke was supported by his team of specialist subcontractors which were all very friendly and approachable throughout the construction project. The building project was completed with Ballina Shire Council releasing the Occupation Certificate.
